Normal. Almost

My cholesterol is finally normal!!!  Almost...

It's normal by standards 1 year ago but abnormally high by standards more recent.    so...  I'm still not quite normal.  No news there, huh?

w00t!

Merriam-Webster's new WORD OF THE YEAR is w00t! I think my English teacher wife just died a little.

My cousins

This one goes out to my boy Yale.  My cousin, not the college.

My recent trip to Chicago for Mike's wedding is still lingering in the back of my mind.  Primarily, the idea of family and it's importance to me.

I last saw my uncle and cousins in Chicago and California almost 10 years ago.  Crazy thought, isn't it?  Spending a decade apart from some of your relatives is more than just odd to me, yet I have somehow accepted it into my internal programming as "normal" now.  I've decided that this isn't right or normal for me and that I should see them more often.  Therefore, I will now make a conscious effort to see them more frequently.  At LEAST less than 1 decade from now.  haha!

I did actually have a short visit from my cousins and uncle when they made a short trip to Long Island a few years back, but that doesn't really count.  With the wedding last week, I really got to spend some time with them and see how much they've grown as people.  It also makes me respect my uncle so much more for seeing how he's raised such awesome kids.  In my future, I can only hope to be half as successful in life as he has been.

I also did get to see another cousin and spend some time with him last New Year's, and that was nice.  There is something to be said about having the whole family together though.  It really changes the dynamic.

Well, here's to another family reunion in 10 years!  Maybe we'll all have kids by then!  haha!  That's a nutty thought...

Pictured here in left to right order:
Uncle - Owns an eyeglass shop in San Jose
Grandfather - He will turn an amazing 80 years old next year!
Uncle - Has a daughter who just got married and at the Ritz Carlton no less!
Yale - Memories of him include him as a fetus, him as a newborn, him as a baby, him as a crazy kid, now all growed up!
Erin - She stole my sister's video tape of The Little Mermaid.  I'm still broken up about the loss of Ariel.  Erin is older than Yale but she's shorter.
Uncle - Erin and Yale's Dad.  He's a dentist and my inspiration in many ways.

On a totally unrelated topic, I was in the shower today and I got the most RANDOM inspiration to write a book.  I even got a title in my "shower-time inspiration".  Not that I think I'll actually ever write it, but it would be titled, God is Mu.  Long story...  I doubt I'll ever even share that one...  Just wanted to share!

Congratulations to the Wons!

My twin brother, Michael, was married yesterday at Hanmee Church last night!  Congratulations to Michael and his new bride Anne!  The ceremony was beautiful, the food was awesome, and the best man was SUPER hot.  Only seconded by the bride herself actually.    I kid I kid.  I was the Best Man but nobody could match the uber-good-lookin'-ness of the Bride and Groom last night!

Over the last 363 days, my older Sister, myself, and now my brother are ALL MARRIED.  June 11th, 2006 was Grace's wedding.  December 30th, 2006 was the day I married the most awesome girl in existence.  Ever.  June 9th 2007 is now the date that my brother got married!  Congratulations to all the Won Clan!
